DisasterHelp.net was privileged to support Union County, NJ during Top Off 3 who operated one of the largest Points of Distribution (POD's) during the exercise. In addition, we are also under contract with county-level health departments in Arizona, Illinois, Texas, Maryland, California and Illinois to provide volunteer recruiting and management systems.
ESAR-VHP Compatible:
The EAI/DHN system is 100% compatible with the recruiting, credentialing and verification requirements for HRSA's "Emergency Services Advance Registration of Volunteer Health Professionals" (ESAR-VHP) version 2.0, published in June 2005. For more information please contact us and we'll send you our 35 page compatibility matrix.
For ESAR-VHP and other purposes our state and local health departments can be networked with more than 1,000 agencies across the country utilizing the EAI/DHN technology. The system is designed to network health departments, hospitals, state/regional command centers and other partnering agencies both before and after an event. It handles both medical and non-medical support personnel and works well with spontaneous volunteers. Finally, it serves as a staff requirements planning tool, allowing you to pre-determine the number of volunteers needed to help with each type of bio-hazard and pre-certify, train and mobilize the right people for each event.
There is much more we can tell you regarding the system that is being used for ESAR-VHP compatibility in many cities already, including San Francisco and Phoenix. Please contact us for more information.
PHIN and HAN Compatible:
The EAI/DHN volunteer and recruiting systems were designed to work interactively with the Public Health Information Network, including its Health Alert Network. Through a contract with their local Volunteer Center, the San Jose, California Department. of Health and others utilize the EAI/DHN technology to recruit and maintain medical volunteers across 22 jurisdictions in Silicon Valley in compliance with both HAN and ESAR-VHP requirements.
